Meeting first at a reception with the Federal President of German in Berlin’s Bellevue Castle the participants of the 11th German-Russian Twin-Cities travelled on to the historic old city of Rothenburg o.d Tauber.

Discussing possibilities of City-Place Marketing the group made five proposals to promote the cooperation:

• creating a German/Russian virtual platform for place –management
• publishing monthly news about benchmarks
• organizing links to other homepages
• preparing an annual study-tour for case-studies
• preparing for 2012 a place-marketing Workshop/Conference in a Russian Region

The brainstorming input from the German side came by Dr. E. Donat, K- J. Edelhauser, J. Imorde, Juergen Koch and M. Mandel. The Mayor of Uljanovsk, Alexander Pinkov, being host for the Conference in 2013 wants to continue the cooperation of the City Marketing dialogue.
